Re-Piping + Hallways

As we plan out our depreciation requirements, QuayWest will need to undertake the necessary Re-Piping project in the coming years. To minimize disruption and maximize efficiency, we have an opportunity to combine this essential work with a comprehensive Hallways renovation. This Resolution allows us to develop detailed plans for both projects simultaneously. PURE Design has already created the initial concept that will elevate our hallways to match our newly renovated lobbies and upcoming elevator modernization.

The planning phase will:

- Coordinate essential infrastructure work with aesthetic improvements

- Ensure efficient use of resources by combining projects

- Create detailed specifications and costings for future consideration

- Allow for Owner input on design elements

- Minimize overall disruption to residentsHallways place holder

Remote Key FOB Upgrade

The Strata Corporation proposes upgrading the current fob system to enable remote access for the Pacific and Marinaside garage entrances and the inside garage doors (near the bike room on P1 and the entrance to P2).

This enhancement will render the existing fob stations and the yellow posts unnecessary, except for those at the Pacific entrance, which will remain in use for the intercom system. The Marinaside Parkade entrance is notably narrow, with yellow posts positioned in the center for the fob station.

This setup has led to visible damage on the surrounding walls as vehicles navigate the tight space and stop to tap their fobs. Additionally, accidental collisions with the yellow posts have caused damage to the underlying membrane holding them.
